CFSA is FSCWEO’s flagship technical center, established in July 2020 to address widespread food insecurity, drought impacts, displacement, and loss of livelihoods. The center prioritizes women-headed households, IDPs, returnees, and vulnerable host communities through timely, dignified assistance.

• General Food Assistance (GFA) and emergency food response
• Cash-Based Transfers (CBT/CV) aligned with local market realities
• Cash-for-Work (CFW) to support recovery and community assets
• Agricultural inputs, climate-smart farming, and nutrition-sensitive livelihoods
• Community-based targeting, transparent selection, and feedback mechanisms

CFSA strengthens household coping capacity, supports local markets through cash modalities, and promotes women’s participation in targeting, distribution, and monitoring processes.
